Counselling

Counselling sessions by a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) may be covered by your extended health benefits. Check with your insurance provider today. 

Registered Therapeutic Counsellors can help you improve your sense of well‐being, alleviate feelings of distress and manage various crises in different stages of your life. As regulated health professionals, they help guide and treat your psychological symptoms.

 

The Counselling process will begin with a 90-minute intake session where your counsellor will review the intake and consent forms with you, explore what brought you to counselling, and begin to develop a therapeutic plan tailored to your unique needs and concerns. Welcome! I’m a Provisional Psychologist passionate about helping individuals, couples, families, and adolescents navigate life’s challenges, heal, and grow. I believe that meaningful change begins with understanding, empathy, and practical tools—tailored specifically to each person or relationship.

My approach integrates evidence-based therapies to create a safe, supportive environment. Whether you’re facing anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, relationship difficulties, or want to improve your wellbeing, I draw upon modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

Working with adults, I help people identify and shift negative thinking patterns, build coping skills, and foster resilience. For couples and families, my practice centers on enhancing understanding, improving communication, and strengthening emotional bonds. With adolescents, I empower young people to build self-awareness, regulate emotions, and set attainable goals. 

My goal is to help you find practical strategies for lasting change—whether you are looking to move beyond pain and trauma, build healthier relationships, or simply discover greater balance in your life.
