Jamie Cull, RD

Jamie is an experienced registered dietitian who believes that food is a tool, that when used appropriately, can contribute to nourishment, health, and life. These are the messages that Jamie will empower you with as you aim to reach your nutrition goals, wherever you are on your journey to wellness. A healthier you is attainable and fun, while enjoying delicious food.

Whether you want to lose weight or maintain your current body weight, Jamie will ensure that your nutrition selections are optimal to nourish your body so you don’t feel deprived. If you are already at a healthy weight and experiencing no symptoms, she can ensure that your diet is well balanced and contains all of the nutrients required to operate at peak performance in the maintenance of good health.

If you have any health concerns, recently diagnosed or chronic, she will counsel you to choose optimal nutrition, supporting your body as it heals from inflammation, one of the root causes of disease, while helping you manage any symptoms at the same time.

In our increasingly toxic environment, the food that we eat is one of the few things that we still have control over. Jamie will recommend foods that minimize toxin intake, so that the balance is towards good health,  regardless of your food budget or nutrition knowledge.

Jamie has completed a Bachelor of Science with honours in Dietetics at Memorial University of NL, including a year of studies at Acadia University in Wolfville, NS to complete the required courses for her degree. She subsequently completed a year-long dietetic internship in Calgary, AB from 1999-2000. Jamie is registered with the College of Dietitians of Alberta, is a member of Dietitians of Canada, and has been practicing as a dietitian within Alberta Health Services for more than 20 years. She has a wealth of experience in the nutrition management of a wide-range of disease including: Weight Management, Neurological Conditions, Mental Health, Kidney Health, Liver Health, Digestive Health, Women’s Health, Heart Health, Surgery, and Diabetes.

Jamie is passionate about living life to the fullest - being a person of integrity and compassion.  An avid researcher, Jamie works continuously to gain new knowledge in various areas of health and disease management. She is also a foodie – she loves cooking, baking and experimenting with recipes to make them healthier and yummier. When she is not learning about health topics or perusing new recipes, she enjoys an active lifestyle with her 3 children through various strength/toning workouts, biking, hiking, skating and playing hockey. A self-taught musician, she enjoys learning a new instrument from time to time. Jamie strongly believes that healthy eating is an essential component on the journey to wellness and is excited to share in your journey.
