Melissa Spaetgens, Registered Provisional Psychologist
Welcome! I’m a Provisional Psychologist passionate about helping individuals, couples, families, and adolescents navigate life’s challenges, heal, and grow. I believe that meaningful change begins with understanding, empathy, and practical tools—tailored specifically to each person or relationship.
My approach integrates evidence-based therapies to create a safe, supportive environment. Whether you’re facing anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, relationship difficulties, or want to improve your wellbeing, I draw upon modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
Working with adults, I help people identify and shift negative thinking patterns, build coping skills, and foster resilience. For couples and families, my practice centers on enhancing understanding, improving communication, and strengthening emotional bonds. With adolescents, I empower young people to build self-awareness, regulate emotions, and set attainable goals.
My goal is to help you find practical strategies for lasting change—whether you are looking to move beyond pain and trauma, build healthier relationships, or simply discover greater balance in your life.
I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey to wellbeing.
